IAP to celebrate ORS Day on July 29
The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Krishna district unit will celebrate ORS Week from July 25 to 31, said the unit president Dr Sai Prasad here on Tuesday.
Vijayawada: The Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) Krishna district unit will celebrate ORS Week from July 25 to 31, said the unit president Dr Sai Prasad here on Tuesday. In this regard a brochure was released.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sai Prasad said that it has been a tradition to celebrate ORS week on the last week of July every year. ORS Day will be celebrated on July 29 and the theme for this year is "The Amrut in Dehydration" reinforcing the importance of ORS in preventing dehydration in children with gastroenteritis (Acute watery diarrhea).
To educate general public regarding the same, the IAP-Krishna is releasing pamphlets with educational material and is conducting a walkathon on the ORS day on July 29 at Indira Gandhi Municipal stadium, he said. IAP Krishna secretary Dr Ramprasad, other senior pediatricians Dr Durga Prasad, Dr Sridevi, Dr Sandeep, Dr Srimukhi, Dr Ramarao and others were present.
