IRIA takes up plantation drive: Malladi Vishnu
Central MLA Malladi Vishnu participated in a plantation drive organised by Indian Radiology and Imaging Association, Vijayawada chapter (IRIA), as per the call given by IRIA to plant one lakh saplings across the country on Sunday.

The plantation drive was taken up on the premises of Vijayawada Municipal Corporation park on the bank of Ryves canal at Durgapuram. The MLA along with MC Das, management consultant participated in the programme organised with the support of Kodali Subhash Chandra Bose of Clean and Green Environment Society.
Speaking on the occasion, Malladi Vishnu said that for a healthy living and for a healthy society trees are important and everyone should feel the responsibility to plant saplings. He appreciated the organisers of IRIA for taking up the social cause of plantation which would benefit society.
He expressed his delight to be a part of such programme and appealed to the people to take-up plantation which would help the coming generations. He said that the government would also extend its support to organisations coming forward with social cause.
MC Das said that as lungs are essential for breathing and so are the trees essential for survival of human beings. GV Mohan Prasad, president IRIA, Dr VN Varaprasad, project coordinator, Dr B Rajakumar, IRIA Vijayawada president, Dr BSR Prasadbabu, secretary, Dr BS Lakshmi, radiologists and others were present on the occasion.
