Amaravati: Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu criticized each other and exchanged words during the question hour in AP Assembly on Thursday. Chandrababu Naidu demanded that the government should take decision with wide consultations with all the stake holders on Godavari water shifting joint plans with Telangana. He also said that it is sensitive issue and State interests should be protected. He took strong objection to the statement of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy that the plans are being made for new irrigation project with the help of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He countered his comments as the CM's age is not equal to his political experience.

On the other hand, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy said that Telangana Chief Minister has come forward to divert the water from Godavari by his request. He also said that the friendly relations are required from neighbouring state for State development. The CM said that the state is dependent on upstream states. There is no way to solve water challenges working without Telangana state, he said.
