Amaravati: Expressing his commitment in providing house sites to the poor by March 25, on the day of Ugadi festival, the Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to make arrangements by that date, during a review meeting on Spandana programme on Tuesday.

He reviewed the progress of the work in identifying house-sites district-wise and discussed the issue with the officials. He directed them to develop the identified plots and complete the process on time. He said the special focus should be laid on the backward districts.

The Chief Minister directed the officials to identify the problems in the acquisition of land in each district and resolve them on the spot. He said the collectors and the entire district machinery should be helpful in removing the financial constraints in land acquisition for the programme.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister also reviewed the successful disbursal of pensions at people's doorsteps on March 1 as part of Pension Kanuka programme and appreciated district collectors for the effort.
