It is known fact, YSR Congress chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has filed a petition seeking personal exemption from attending the trial court in connection with the pending CBI case against him. According to reports, the CBI court has ruled that Jagan is entitled to an exemption by the principles of natural law.

But the CBI court has ruled that Jagan is now in the position of the chief minister, so it is not inevitable to exempt him from attending the trial court as he might influence witnesses. Hence, Jagan Mohan Reddy's lawyers moved the high court.

Lawyers have argued that Jagan is no longer a common politician and that he is in a responsible position as a state chief minister. But the court dismissed the petition.
