Jagan to give monetary benefits for sports persons
To encourage the sports in the state, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced sops to the sports persons.
Amaravati: To encourage the sports in the state, Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced sops to the sports persons. Expressing displeasure over non encouragement of sports in the state from last five years, he said that the state government will give Rs 5 lakh for Gold medalists, Rs 4 lakh for Silver medalists and Rs 3 lakh for Bronze medalists at the national level.
At the same time, the government will also encourage the junior and sub junior categories sportspersons. Rs 1.25 lakh for Gold, Rs 75,000 for silver and Rs 50,000 for bronze. If the government will encourage the talented poor sportspersons, then they would emerge as anothe PV Sindhu.
Jagan announced that this programme will be organized on August 29, as part of National Sports day, he announced and asked the officials to make all arrangements for that. This programme will be conducted every year, he said.
