District Collector D. Muralidhar Reddy has issued instructions to strictly follow the Janata Curfew on Sunday. As per the directions of district officials Kakinada people are completely observing the Janata curfew here in Kakinada on Sunday. All the shops like Rythu Bazars, Shopping Complexes and and other shops were also completely shut down.

The temple managments including Annavaram Sri Veera Venkata Satya Narayana Swamy Temple and Pancharamam temples were remained closed. Many passengers cancelled their tours with APSTRC officials suspending their services in the district.

While, South Central Railway blocked and shut down all the Retiring Rooms and Dormitories at all railway stations in the zone with effect from 00.00 hrs of 21st March, 2020 to 23.59 hrs of 15th April, 2020. As per the railway authorities, all old and fresh bookings (online and manual) for allotment of Retiring Rooms and Dormitories will stand cancelled. "Passengers who have already booked Retiring Rooms and Dormitories will be informed on the same and full refund shall be given, " Railway official said.
