Kadapa : BJP Andhra Pradesh co-in-charge and party national secretary Sunil V Deodhar demanded Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to take action against his Cabinet colleague K Narayana Swamy for wishing happy Christmas to people from Tirumala on December 25.

The BJP leader who was in Rajampet in the district on the occasion of joining of former Union minister Saiprathap's son-in-law Sai Lokesh joining the BJP, addressed a public gathering on Monday.

Deodhar alleged that YSRCP leaders were encouraging evangelism at Tirumala adding that there were several such instances at the world-famous Hindu spiritual centre prompting fears that it may gradually become a hub for evangelists. "If the same situation continues for some more time, we cannot imagine consequences. I request the ruling party leaders to condemn such incidents and ensure they are not repeated," he said.

BJP state president Somu Veeraju said that sand has become more valuable than gold in the state after YSRCP came to power. He also alleged that red sanders smuggling had became rampant in the state. The BJP leader said the government was carrying out liquor trade by manufacturing liquor on its own in the garb of phased prohibition.

He pointed out that the state government was constructing village secretariat buildings, school buildings, panchayat offices with Central funds while claiming credit for them.
