Kakinada: Priority will be given to womens grievances said SP Adnan Nayeem Asmi

Kakinada: East Godavari District Superintendent of Police Adnan Nayeem Asmi on Monday interacted with the senior citizens who turned up to submit their grievances at the weekly Spandana programme here.

East Godavari police have decided to pay special attention on the grievances of senior citizens and women and take prompt action. "People should come forward to express their grievances without any fear and they should also avoid delay in doing so. Issues related to the domestic front, differences between couples, incidence of blackmailing, targeting women and petty disputes could be tackled immediately.

In case of any serious issues, they could be given due importance by registering cases and taking investigation as required," the SP said.

"All the complaints and appeals made during Spandana would be looked into compulsorily and duly acknowledged. The serious cases would be thoroughly pursued," he said.

On Monday, 250 grievances pertaining to various issues, including senior citizen problems and harassment for additional dowry, were registered during the Spandana programme.

Adnan Nayeem Asmi directed the officials concerned to visit the field to understand the grievance in detail in order to offer a fair service to the petitioners.
