Kakinada: The district administration has been put on alert and asked to stay prepared in case East Godavari district receives a second wave of coronavirus. Amalapuram sub-collector Himansu Kaushik suggested that the public should be more vigilant as the possibility of a second wave of coronavirus was high.

Kaushik organised an awareness rally and human chain on the second wave of coronavirus at Clocktower centre, Amalapuram on Tuesday. He said that the state government has directed the administration to be on alert round the clock because there were chances of a spurt in Covid -19 cases any time. "Anticipating a second wave, we are focusing on Amalapuram constituency."

He suggested that everyone must wear a mask and clean their hands frequently with sanitizer or soap in compliance with physical distance. He suggested people not be crowded at shops and shopping malls and 'no mask -no entry' boards should be displayed at every shop. He said that people should take precautionary measures of the second wave of the deadly coronavirus.
