Kakinada: TDP holds Praja Chaitanya Yatra against land acquisition

Kakinada: TDP district leaders organised Praja Chaitanya Yatra here on Monday. They protested against the land acquisition by the government. They coordinated with the local residents to denounce the revenue officials.

Former MLA Vanamadi Venkateshwar Rao (Kondababu), TDP senior leader Chikkala Ramachandra Rao and others organised the programme at Bankpet and Ragampet in Kakinada Urban limits.

Speaking on the occasion, Kondababu alleged that the YSRCP government did not care for the State's development. He lashed out at YSRCP leaders for cheating the people in the name of Navaratnalu. He criticized that YSRC leaders have been creating rift among people for their interests rather than developing the state.

Ramachandra Rao alleged that the state government was deleting the names of beneficiaries from the pensioners' list. He termed as undemocratic and illegal the move of the YSRCP to abolish the Council out of sheer vengence.
