Kurnool: 3 burglars held, stolen articles worth Rs 31.77 lakh seized

Kurnool: The Dhone police have arrested three offenders and seized Rs.31.77 lakh worth articles from their possession. The Dhone Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), V Narasimha Reddy convened media conference on Thursday night.

Addressing media persons, he said three persons, Talari Vijayudu of Dhone, Bandari Santosh Kumar, resident of Bethamcherla and Dasari Eshwaraiah of Dhone formed a group and burgled the locked houses. After gaining entry into the houses the trio would decamp with cash and valuables.

``With the increase in burglaries and other crimes we have focused to nab the culprits. Special teams have formed and were on look out of the offenders.

While conducting vehicle checking at BC Hostel in Kondapeta, the accused were found in suspicious conditions. After taking into custody and on interrogation, the culprits have confessed of doing the crime,'' said the DSP.

We have recovered 42.8 tulas of gold ornaments worth Rs.16.92 lakh, 24.42 kgs of silver worth Rs.9.75 lakh, blood testing material of Rs.1.50 lakh, Rs.45,000 worth Unicorn bike, Rs.15,000 worth dress material, 12 televisions and 3 home theatre speakers worth Rs.2.10 lakh were seized from their possession, added the DSP, V Narasimha Reddy.

Case under relevant sections was filed and the trio was produced in the court for initiating further action, the DSP said.
