Kurnool: Following the orders of Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli, the cops of various police stations in the district launched cordon and search operation at several sensitive villages across the district since early morning on Friday.

The cops of Kovelakuntla has conducted the search operation at Kapamalla village, Kurnool taluk police at Rudravaram village and the Yemmiganur police at Kotekal village.

During the cordon and search operations, the persons having a history sheet, liquor sellers and trouble mongers have been given counseling and warned of taking into task if they were found involved in anti-social activities. They were told to maintain peace in the villages.

Allagadda Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) A Rajendra, Kurnool taluka Circle Inspector Obulesu, Kovelakuntla CI Subbarayudu and Yemmignoor CI Manjunath and SIs participated in the cordon and search operations. The police did not find any lethal weapons in the operation.
