Kurnool: Ensure hassle-free exams, staff told

Kurnool: District Collector, G Veera Pandiyan said the Class X exams will commence from March 31st and will continue up to 17th April. He directed the officials concerned to conduct the exams in a strict manner and fetch good name to the district. He participated as a chief guest at a training camp organised to Chief Superintendents and department officials deployed for the conduct of the exams, at Sunaina Auditorium here on Tuesday.

The Collector said that 73,162 students – 52,448 regular and 714 private – will be appearing for the exams at 222 centres across the district. To monitor the exams, 222 chief superintendents and another 222 department officials have been deployed. In addition, 2,658 teachers have been deployed as invigilators. The chief superintendents play a vital role and they need to discharge responsibilities with utmost care, the Collector said.

He further said that the officials should not give scope to any untoward incidents and malpractices. The officials are directed to ensure facilities like drinking water, toilets and first aid available to the students. The officials have to perform two responsibilities at a time, monitoring Tenth Class exams and local body elections, so they need to chalk out plans accordingly, Veera Pandiyan said. He asked the police department to ensure strict police security at the exam centres.

District Education Officer, M Sairam, Deputy DEO, Anuradha, Dhone Deputy DEO, Nagaraju, RMSA Deputy DEO, Raja Kumari, Nandyal Deputy DEO, Meenakshai, Adoni Deputy DEO, Baig, DCEB Secretary, Nagaraju, ACGE In-charge Omkar Yadav, Chief Superintendents, Departmental Officials and others participated at the training camp.
