Residents of Yemmiganur have opposed setting up of quarantine centre at their residential areas.
Kurnool: Residents of Yemmiganur have opposed setting up of quarantine centre at their residential areas. Residents in large numbers assembled at a place and thwarted the officials to enter G plus 3 apartments where the setting up of quarantine centre was proposed. With this, tense situation prevailed at the place for some hours. However, the police personnel intervened and pacified the issue.
According to Circle Inspector Sreedhar Raju, already a quarantine centre was set up at Banavasi. As several people are kept in a congested place, the officials have planned to keep the persons in separate rooms and selected the G plus 3 apartments at Soguru Road. The panicked residents assembled and opposed the officials attempt. However, we have educated the residents about the virus. After a while the residents vacated the place, added the Circle Inspector.
