Siva Naga Narsimhachari, a micro artist from Srikakulam village bagged the International Youth Award and Rashtriya Samman Award 2019 at the International Youth Conference 2019 held in New Delhi on Sunday.

Visakhapatnam: Siva Naga Narsimhachari, a micro artist from Srikakulam village bagged the International Youth Award and Rashtriya Samman Award 2019 at the International Youth Conference 2019 held in New Delhi on Sunday.The award is instituted by National Youth Awardees Federation of India and International Youth Society.

The award was conferred to youth from all over India and countries like Bangladesh and Sri Lanka were also invited for the conference. Siva received the award for his commitment towards the welfare of society.

Previously, he had conducted several workshops and trained students on micro art and carving methods. Talking about his achievement, Siva said, "I have been sculpting on slate pencils, pencils, chalk and other medium since last 10 years consistently.

I never had a mentor all this while."Goldsmith by profession, Siva sculpted over 200 micro arts and currently he is aiming for Guinness Book of World Records.
