Mobile phone thief nabbed

Machilipatnam: The Machilipatnam CCS police nabbed a cell phone thief, Jandyala Garshana Rao (21) on Tuesday. On receiving complaints of cell phone thefts in the town, the CCS police were alerted by the officials.

Bandar DSP Md Basha said that the cell phone offender Garshana Rao was a habitual offender and there were many cases of thefts pending against him in the past. He was earlier caught in motor vehicle thefts and later he started cell phone thefts.

The police recovered Rs two lakh worth of 36 cell phones from Garshan Rao. About six cases were booked on the accused at Inagudurupet police station, said the DSP.
