Anantapur: Hindupur YSRCP MP Gorantla Madhav responding to a news item in a vernacular daily on the plight of a police constable Jagadish whose leg was broken in a road mishap recently, responded humanely by reaching out to the suffering constable in his house at Budappanagar in the city and comforted him.

Gorantla also enquired about his welfare and on learning that he was on sick leave on loss of pay, he met District Superintendent of Police (SP) Yesu Babu and shared about the precarious condition of the constable working in I-Town police station in Tadipatri and urged him to come to his rescue by helping him financially for his better treatment in a good hospital.

Madhav's sudden visit to the constable's house gave a morale boost to his family members. They were overwhelmed at the MP's presence and his concern for the constable, who worked under him when he was Circle Inspector of I-Town police station in Tadipatri.

The MP even met the SP to ensure that help was rendered to him. His spontaneous response on humanitarian grounds was hailed by one and all in the Police department and among the general public.
