Naidu decries loot, violence of YSRP leaders

Naidu, who was on a three-day visit to the home district Chittoor, interacted with victims of alleged attacks of ruling party supporters in the district at Mamandur in Chandragiri mandal on the second day of the tour on Thursday.
On sand scarcity, the Leader of Opposition said many construction workers had committed suicides as lakhs of them lost livelihood but Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had not realised yet the gravity of the situation. He also said YSRCP leaders of usurping large tracts of government lands across the state.
Accusing the government of harassing TDP activists by foisting false cases, he said a total 39 false cases were registered against the TDP followers across the Chittoor district as a result of which 83 families had been facing severe troubles.
Alleging the role of deputy chief minister K Narayana Swamy behind the harassment of TDP activists, he warned that Narayana Swamy and police officials who were resorting to harassment of TDP cadres would face the consequences of their actions once the TDP came to power.
During the interaction with the party chief, families of victims poured out their woes before him. Ammulu, wife of TDP activists Gangi Reddy of Tamballapalli constituency, said her husband was murdered by ruling party leaders after the election but police had not done anything.
One Ravindra Kumar of SR Puram mandal said tahsildar destroyed sugarcane crop in his two acre land using bulldozers following pressure from deputy chief minister Narayan Swamy's followers.
Villagers of NR Kammapalli under Ramchandrapruam mandal complained that police had registered false cases against them after elections and opened rowdy sheet on innocent youth.
On listening to their woes, the TDP president expressed anger at police and revenue officials for harassing the TDP cadres and warned the tahsildars, CIs as well SIs that they would face private cases if they do not desist from troubling TDP cadres.
Many families from Putalapattu, Tirupati, Srikalahasti, GDNellore, Chandragiri, Piler and Punganur constituencies attended the meet.
