The Kurnool District Nandyal Third Additional District Court has quashed the bail of the accused in the suicide case. CI Somasekhar Reddy, the accused in the case, has been remanded under Section 306 of the IPC in connection with the case and his bail has been revoked. The judge ordered the accused to appear in court on December 2.

OneTown CI Somasekhar Reddy and Head Constable Gangadhar are accused in the Salam family suicide case. The first class magistrate court granted bail the day after their arrest. Police have filed a petition in the Third Additional District Court seeking directions to revoke the bail. The court adjourned the case till November 28 after the end of arguments on the petition.

The Salam family committed suicide by falling over the railway track in the last month. He took a selfie video with his family before committing suicide, alleging that he was being harassed by the police on an unfair theft charge. The video also went viral on social media. The government responded immediately and ordered investigation. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has announced financial assistance of Rs. 25,00,000 and handed over a to Abdul Salam's mother in law.
