No Bharosa for 2.16 lakh farmers in Chittoor district
1. As per latest guidelines of the government, each farmer will get Rs 13,500 under YSR Rythu Bharosa Scheme which includes Rs 7,500 of State government component.
2. Out of the 6.86 lakh farmers who have opened accounts in various banks, the authorities have selected only 4.10 lakh farmers.
Chittoor: Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will be launching YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme on Tuesday in the state. Deputy Chief Minister K Narayanaswamy, who holds Excise and Commercial Taxes, will launch the scheme in Chittoor district.
Wide publicity was given for the scheme describing it as a boon for farmers. The Agricultural department has made hectic exercise to identify the eligible farmers.
Out of the 6.86 lakh farmers who have opened accounts in various banks, the authorities have selected only 4.10 lakh farmers rejecting the claims of the remaining 2.16 lakh farmers. As a result, widespread resentment is witnessing among the farming communities.
Vijaya Kumar, Joint Director for Agriculture said to The Hans India here on Monday that under YSR Rythu Bharosa scheme, each farmer will be given Rs.13,500 in which Rs.7,500 would be the state contribution.
" Effective steps were initiated for selecting the eligible farmers under the scheme. As they have not registered their names in Smart Pulse Survey, 53,400 farmers have lost eligibility. Similarly, 25,482 farmers have yet to submit their Aaadhaar cards in the banks and they too have become ineligible. There are 5,848 death cases also in the district, " he added.
He stated that the total amount Rs.13,500 will be deposited in the farmers' accounts in three installments adding that the scheme will be a boon to farmers. He said that the ineligible farmers can correct their details within one month and avail the benefit of the scheme.
