Vizianagaram : Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development Botcha Satyanarayana said that the government is employee-friendly as well as public friendly. No staff will be sacked from their services, but if anybody violates norms or involved in other activities, he or she will be punished seriously, he said.

Botcha attended a seminar organised by Government Employees' Association at Collector's office here and said that government would take care of the employees till they work for the public. 'Our aim is to strengthen the administration from village level and we are appointing 34,000 employees on permanent basis.

The village secretariat system will change entire governing system and this will become a role model in the nation. No other state has recruited such a huge staff so far, he added.

``Don't believe rumours that contract and outsourcing staff will be sacked. Our government has appointed a sub-committee comprising of ministers to study on Contributory Pension Scheme and we will implement that scheme also.

The employees' associations and trade unions also can discuss with the sub-committee on CPS system. Employees can form associations to work for the welfare of the staff, but they should be cautious that staff should not work for the political parties.''

District Collector M Harijawaharlal said that every employee should work for the welfare of common people and try to deliver every welfare scheme to all sections. MLA K Veerabhadra Swamy and others have participated in the programme.
