Vizianagaram: Though both the TDP and YSRCP are facing trouble to select right candidates in the ensuing assembly constituencies, on the other side, the 100-year-old Congress party and the newly formed Jana Sena are searching for candidates as no one is coming forward to take their tickets. The high commands of TDP, YSRCP are discussing with their party leaders and calculating every aspect before finalising the winning candidates.

But the situation in Jana Sena and the Congress is very pathetic, even the people of this district are not able to identify their district presidents. Previously, the Congress party had strong leaders here like P Sambasiva Raju, S Vijayaramaraju, Botsa Satyanarayana, V Krishnamurthy Naidu, V Kishore Chanda Deo and others but now the party has not even a single leader to contest from any assembly constituency. All the mandal and village-level leaders had quit the party along with their senior leaders and joined either the TDP or YSRCP.

Y Adiraju, the Congress district president, is holding meetings with leaders but it could not bring any fruitful results. Even the Bus Yatra launched by the State-level leaders also went useless. Now, the party has lost its hopes from here that it would raise again. Adiraju said "Of course we are in pathetic condition but the public will recognise one-day that our Congress is only hope for the nation as we had implemented many developmental activities besides welfare schemes."

On the other side, the much-hyped Jana Sena is also in the same position. People of this district have no idea about the party. Though JSP chief Pawan Kalyan toured in this district twice and attracted huge public for his meetings but at the time of elections, nobody is here to work for the party and to strengthen it. As of now, the party has not yet announced any seat except Nellimarla out of nine MLA seats. The Jana Sena has announced Lokam Madhavi as its Nellimarla candidate. Interestingly, she is the wife of Lokam Prasad, the JSP district convener.
