Vijayawada: Ombrello Academy and Decathlon would jointly organised OCL Vijayawada Football Tournament 2019, said the Ombrello Academy vice-chairman P Mani here on Friday. A poster in this regard was released by SAAP Managing Director K Bhaskar.
Addressing the media at a programme held at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium, Bhaskar said that football would boost mental and physical energy. He said that players who excel in sports will have a good future
The academy vice-chairman said that the tournament will be held on December 14 and 15 at Blooming Dale School, Poranki and players from across the state will participate in the tournament. About 40 teams will participate in the tournament.
He said all arrangements were made by the academy for the players. The winners of the tournament will be given Rs 30,000. Second prize winners will get Rs 20,000. He said that the academy organised many tournaments in the past to encourage sports. Several sports personalities were present on the occasion.
