Ongole: Enforce curbs strictly in containment areas

Ongole: Prakasam SP Siddharth Kaushal instructed all the police personnel in the district to strictly implement the dasasutras postulated by him to protect the staff from the Coronavirus infection.

On Saturday, the SP went on to Podili on a motorbike through Pernamitta, Santhanuthalapadu, and Chimakurthy to monitor the implementation of lockdown rules and dasasutras.

He toured in Podili to check all lockdown arrangements by alerting the staff on duty and directed the officers to strictly enforce the restrictions in containment areas as the virus is spreading rapidly.

The SP mandated the safety infrastructure in police stations as many police officers in the district are also getting infected by this virus and unable to perform lockdown and other duties properly.

Later, the SP inaugurated the newly built reception room, SHO designated room, visitors' waiting place, hand sanitizer water tank, and strong access control at the entry of Podili and Konakanamitla police stations.

The SP appreciated the local police officers and staff for making the arrangements in such a short span of time for the convenience and safety of people coming to the station in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

The DGP of Andhra Pradesh highly praised the Prakasam SP for framing and implementing of the dasautras and ordered for establishment of this safety infrastructure in every police station in the state.

Addressing the public, SP Siddharth Kaushal urged people not to come out of the houses unless it is an emergency and requested them to maintain social distancing at public places by wearing gloves, face mask, and to return immediately after completing their work. The SP sought the people's cooperation and support in implementing lockdown rules. Darsi SDPO K Prakash Rao, Podili CI V Sri Ram, Sub-inspectors and others also participated in the programme.
