Ongole: Prakasam collector Dr Pola Bhaskara directed the medical staff and doctors at the Government General Hospital in Ongole to work like in automation and move ahead towards digitalisation. He conducted a review meeting with the HoDs in the GGH and announced that they were introducing the patient care management system in the hospital soon.

The collector suggested the doctors to change their attitude in treating the patients and provide efficient medical services to all parents, as they do to their relatives and family members. He said that about 1,000 to 2,000 patients were receiving medical care in the hospital and announced that the government was introducing a system to keep a vigil on the hospital round the clock. Bhaskara said that they were installing the patient care management software in the GGH Ongole first and then at the district hospital in Markapuram and area hospital in Chirala and Kandukur. He said 12 departments in the hospital would be covered in the software. He said they would install CC cameras and would double up the computers in the hospital. He ordered the GGH officials to shift the COVID wards to second and third floors as the visits of regular patients are increasing.
