Ongole: A man who returned from London to Ongole last week is admitted in the isolation ward at the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences in Ongole on Monday night.

The officials said that the man reached home at Ongole on March 13, after stopping at various places in transit. They said that the man exhibited the symptoms of Coronavirus and is shifted to the isolation ward in the RIMS Ongole as a precautionary measure.

Prakasam district DMHO K Padmavathi said that the man is suffering from fever and cough for a few days. She announced that the swabs are taken for the sample and are sent to Vijayawada for the required tests. She announced that the patient is stable but put on observation round the clock. Based on the outcome of the results, the next procedure will be finalised, she informed.
