Former vice-chairman of BC Corporation Nuksasani Balaji alleges the government attacking and sending BC leaders to jail by registering false cases

Ongole: TDP leaders alleged that the ruling YSRCP has deceived and discriminated against the people of the backward castes in the state.

Addressing media at NTR Bhavan here on Thursday, TDP state executive secretary and former vice-chairman of BC Corporation Nuksasani Balaji alleged that the YSRCP has sought the support of BCs by calling them as the 'backbone', but once after achieving the power, it is attacking them and sending BC leaders to jail by registering false cases.

He said the YSRCP leaders targeted Atchannaidu before the Assembly session and got him arrested by the ACB. He said due to 600 kms journey by Atchannaidu within 24 hours of surgery, he needs to go under the knife again. He warned that the TDP will not allow if the government wants to continue such 'revenge' politics. Alleging that the YSRCP members insulted the chairman by behaving ugly to pass the appropriation bill first, he dared the government to release the unedited video footage in the Council.

TDP state secretary Yarrakula Srinivasa Rao said the YSRCP government has shown its true colours against BCs in the first year of power itself and was discriminating them in all welfare programmes and filing false cases on the BC leaders in opposition. He demanded action against the minister, who allegedly attacked BC leader Beeda Ravichandra when he tried to obstruct the TDP general secretary Lokesh.

After the press meet, the TDP leaders and cadre participated in the homage to the Indian martyrs in the recent conflict with Chinese forces by lighting candles at the party office.
