Thousands of Brahmin families who are dependent on the priesthood are among those who are financially strained due to the lockdown. He said that the lockdown came at a time when marriages and house warming events were in full swing and that the employment loss of the priests was in serious jeopardy.

The Andhra Pradesh Brahmin Seva Sangh Federation has briefed the hardships faced by those who depend on the priesthood. Laxmi Narasimhamurthy, the organizing secretary of the Federal State, said that the life of the priests will be worse by the absence of a muhurta for a few months after the 24th of this month.

Pawan said that they are seeking Rs. 5000 assistance and essential commodities. He said their appeal was reasonable and they needed to provide financial based on the priesthood. Similarly, he urged the government not to divert the funds of Rs. 100 crore allocated in this year's budget.
