Pensions will be given to all eligible persons within five days: Jagan
The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to verify the complaints of those who did not receive the old aged pensions in the State and provide immediately. He said that in such cases the pension should be given to the eligible beneficiaries for two months.
Amaravati: The Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the officials to verify the complaints of those who did not receive the old aged pensions in the State and provide immediately. He said that in such cases the pension should be given to the eligible beneficiaries for two months. The Chief Minister made it very clear during a review meeting on the Spandana programme, on Tuesday at Secretariat at Velagapudi in Guntur district.
In all, pension has been given to 6,14,244 aged new persons in this government. However, there were complaints of several people not receiving pension. The Chief Minister reacted on such cases and directed the district collectors to verify them without any delay by employing the Village and Ward Secretariats staff and Volunteers.
He said that pension should be provided within five days to those who applied for it if they are qualified. The Collectors will have to re-verify such cases by February 17, will upload on February 18, the social audit must be completed by February 19 and the final list will have to be announced the very next day, that is on February 20.
Jagan said that by March 31, the verified beneficiaries must get the pension along with the pension card at their doorstep. He stressed that there should not be any eligible person excluded.
At the same time, he directed the officials to complete the reverification of the White Ration cards by February 15 and distribute the new cards by February 18. If anybody will apply for the White Ration card, then it will be given in the next five days.
