People demand 2 kg of onions on white cards in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: The State government is supplying onions to various Rythu Bazaars in the district through lorries to combat the scarcity. In Rythu Bazaars, people in large numbers are waiting for their turn to get the onions immediately after opening the Rythu Bazaars.

However, the people are demanding the supply of 2 kg of onions on white card instead of one kg, which is not at all sufficient. The price of the onions in the Rythu Bazaars is Rs 25 per kg, where as it is Rs 50 in the open market. But the size of onion is differnt in Rythu bazaars and in the open market.
