The Vizianagaram police have saved a newborn girl child and handed her to concerned women and child welfare officials.

Vizianagaram: The Vizianagaram police have saved a newborn girl child and handed her to concerned women and child welfare officials. On Tuesday, J.Srinivas, the sub-inspector of Saluru town found a girl child crying at the wayside in Naidu colony, while he was going by the route.

Immediately he recovered the baby from the bushes and found that the girl child is a just born and takes her to the community hospital with the help of local Aasha workers.

The doctors there tested her and found that she is healthy. Later the SI inquired there to find out the parents of the girl but failed to identify them. Later the medical staff there have taken care of the infant and informed the child welfare officials to take care of that baby.
