Amaravati: The DGP office in a statement warned that the police will not tolerate any violence on the name of peaceful protests in the Amaravati capital region, on Monday.

The police further informed that when the Chief Justice and other Judges of the High Court were going to the Court, more than 400 agitators entered on to the road and created trouble.

Since the Chief Justice and other Judges are in high-security cover, no protests in front of them would not be accepted.

Vineet Brijlal, Guntur Range Inspector General of Police (IGP) informed that the police will take stern action if any violence will take place on the name of peaceful protests.

He informed that on Sunday itself, there were six major incidents that happened at various villages of the Amaravati Capital Region alone. Incidentally, the public representatives were abused, government employees were disturbed while going for the work, police constables and others were injured, he informed.

IGP also said that some of the people, on the name of protests have been disturbing the peace and Law and Order in the region. Even though the police gave permission for peaceful protests and watched their misconduct patiently, the protestors were taking undue advantage and creating a lot of troubles, he said.
