Due to continuous rains for the last five days, all the main roads in pilgrim city were damaged and big potholes were seen on roads.

Tirupati: Due to continuous rains for the last five days, all the main roads in pilgrim city were damaged and big potholes were seen on roads. City residents and commuters are facing hardships to move from one place to another by vehicles to attend day to day works.

Main road from Padmavathipuram to Ramanuja Circle via Lakshmi Puram Junction Road is completely damaged and Sri Padmvathi University front road is also filled with water ponds. Traffic woes are increasing day by day with stagnated rain water near Garuda flyover which is under construction.

Every day thousands of residents from Tiruchanur , Padmavathipuram, Srinivaspuram travel by two wheelers and four wheelers to attend their works. Even Balaji colony, West Church down, Gandhi street, RTC Bus Stand areas BT roads were damaged by the rain water.

MCT authorities fail to take up restoration works and to repair roads. In the back drop on Tuesday MCT Commissioner PS Girisha has inspected few areas and instructed the staff to restore the normalcy to clear traffic woes of the city residents.
