Prakasam: Loans for MSMEs under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan up to Oct 31

Ongole: The Prakasam district collector Dr Pola Bhaskara announced that the eligible Micro Small and Medium Enterprises in the district can apply for loans under Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan up to October 31 and ordered the banks to take initiative to encourage MSMEs.

In the District Consultative Committee meeting organized at the collectorate on Tuesday, the collector observed that only 61 percent of the growth is achieved in the growth planned for MSMEs in 2019-20. He said that the manufacturing, trading and other service sector enterprises can take loans up to Rs 10 lakh under Mudra Yojana.

The collector ordered the bankers to take action to distribute Kisan Credit Cards to farmers and advised the agriculture department officials to create awareness in the farmers on the credit cards and encourage them to use the cards for the purchase of seeds and fertilizers. He ordered the bankers to provide Rs 10000 interest-free loans to small traders under the YSR Thodu scheme, as per the instructions given for eligibility. He also ordered the bankers to transfer the Rs 52 crores subsidy funds locked with them to the respective corporations by July end.

The JCs J Venkata Murali, TS Chetan, LDM Yugandhar, NABARD DDM Venkata Ramana, and other officials and bankers also participated in the meeting.
