Prakasam SP Siddharth Kaushal bags Skoch award
Siddharth Kaushal, Superintendent of Police, Prakasam district, received the prestigious Skoch award through the hands of Chairman of the Skoch group Sameer Kochhar, Senior Fellow of Skoch Development Foundation Nirmal Bansal, Professor in Delhi University Dr B V Bansal, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gautam Sawang, in a programme held at Constitution Club in New Delhi on Friday.
Ongole: Siddharth Kaushal, Superintendent of Police, Prakasam district, received the prestigious Skoch award through the hands of Chairman of the Skoch group Sameer Kochhar, Senior Fellow of Skoch Development Foundation Nirmal Bansal, Professor in Delhi University Dr B V Bansal, Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gautam Sawang, in a programme held at Constitution Club in New Delhi on Friday.
The Skoch Foundation received about a thousand nominations for the awards, but the jury shortlisted 150 nominations and put for voting through twitter. The Prakasam district police nominated the newly launched 'Junior Investigation Officer' (Project JIO) programme for the award and received 5,534 votes, by creating a record and stood in the first position.
The Woman Juvenile Wing project by Chittoor district police received 2,267 votes and stood in the second position while the Police Weekly Off management system nominated by the DGP office received 1,467 votes. The Integrated Surveillance Patrolling and Response Centre (I-SPARC) from Visakhapatnam, Face Tracker from Anantapur, Sphoorthy from Paderu subdivision, Police Transfer Module from Srikakulam police are also in the shortlisted nominations.
The DGP Gautam Sawang congratulated the SP for winning the award with the highest number of votes and announced that the Project JIO is a jewel in the crown of Andhra Pradesh police department. He announced that arrangements are being made to introduce project JIO in all districts of the state.
Podili CI V Sriram, Chirala Town I CI N Nagamalleswara Rao, IT Core Team SI Sk Nayab Rasool also participated in the award ceremony along with the higher officials.
