Private travels bus hits divider on East Godavari district, passengers safe
In an incident, a private travels bus met with a road accident as it hits a divider in the early hours at East Godavari district on Monday.
East Godavari: In an incident, a private travels bus met with a road accident as it hits a divider in the early hours at East Godavari district on Monday. The passengers breathed easy as everyone came out safely from the danger.
The accident happened when the driver tried to avoid a man who came on the way and stops after hitting the divider on the road. The bus belongs to the Morning Star travels, which was heading towards Visakhapatnam from Hyderabad with 50 passengers on the board.
As the bus reached near Mulastana Agraharam in Alamuru Mandal of East Godavari district, an old man of the same village came in the middle of the road while crossing. With this, the driver tried to avoid him, applied a sudden brake and collided with the divider.
In the incident, the elderly man sustained injuries, and all the passengers on the bus remained unhurt. According to the eyewitness, the alertness of the driver has prevented a major accident.
On receiving the information, Alamuru police reached the spot and collected the details. The passengers were shifted to their destinations in another bus. This incident has caused a heavy traffic jam on the national highway.
