The family members of the Prudhvi Venkateswarlu and his son Venkata Subba Rao weaved the 300 cubits of the fine cloth with devotion towards Lord Shiva, starting from the Kartikamasam. They made the cloth into two equal parts and rolled into cylinders to use them in adorning the Nava Nandis on the sanctum sanctorum of the Sri Bhramaramba Malikharjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam on February 21, the Sivaratri night, just before the celestial wedding take place.

The procession with the sacred cloth cylinders started from the house of Venkateshwarlu in Hastinapuram and offered puja at all temples and houses of devotees before reaching the Sivalayam in Pandillapalli, on Saturday night. After spending the night, the family members started to Srisailam along with few other devotees.

The Devala Manubrahma Devanga Samkshema Sangham president Pasumarti Venkata Subbarao, vice president Karna Lakshmarao, secretary Gutti Visweswara Rao, AP Devanga Samkshema Sangham president Nakkina China Venkatarayudu, and others were present.
