Proddutur Municipal Commissioner responds over TDP leader's murder, says she has nothing to do with it
Proddutur Municipal Commissioner Anuradha has responded to allegations leveled against her in the murder case of Kadapa district Proddutur TDP leader Nandam Subbaiah.
Proddutur Municipal Commissioner Anuradha has responded to allegations levelled against her in the murder case of Kadapa district Proddutur TDP leader Nandam Subbaiah. She said she had nothing to do with the murder and alleged that Subbaiah's family members were deliberately mentioning her name in the case. Anuradha said that she was participating in a ritual when Subbaiah was killed. She said that she had only asked him to wait for a while when Subbaiah came there and made clear that she is ready for any sort of trial.
Municipal Commissioner Anuradha who spoke to media over murder of TDP spokesperson Subbaiah explained that he had nothing to do with the murder. Anuradha, who has been in hiding since yesterday, came forward to the media on Thursday. She said that Subbaiah had phoned her before the murder and made clear that she was near the hall by the time he arrived.
Meanwhile, high drama took place in the murder case of TDP Kadapa district spokesperson Nandam Subbaiah. Police on Tuesday registered an FIR on the basis of information provided by the deceased's wife Aparajitha. A copy of the FIR was handed to her Wednesday evening. She was concerned about the absence of the names of Proddutur MLA Sivaprasad Reddy, his brother-in-law Bangarumuni Reddy and Proddutur Municipal Commissioner Anuradha and told the matter to TDP National General Secretary Nara Lokesh who had come to pay homage to Subbaiah's body.
The TDP decided not to hold the funeral until a case was registered against the three. The family members of the deceased called off the dharna after the police assured them that they would contact the court and add their names as the FIR had already been registered.
