Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan appreciates medical fraternity for their tireless efforts in protecting people from the coronavirus

Vijayawada: Governor Biswa Bhusan Harichandan said that with the launch of Super Specialty services and latest medical equipment made available at Sri Balaji Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute, the people of Tirupati and Rayalaseema region will now have the access to high-end medical care.

He inaugurated the Super Specialty facilities and state-of-the-art equipment at the hospital on Wednesday from Raj Bhavan here through videoconference.

While complimenting Tirupathi Panigrahi, chairman, Vigyanbharati Charitable Trust and Hi-tech Group, Sai Prakash, chairman of the Sai Foundation and members of Sri Balaji Medical College, Hospital and Research Institute, the governor urged them to ensure that super specialty medical services are made available to the poorer sections of society at affordable prices.

The governor said the Vigyanbharati Charitable Trust has been working to improve the living conditions of the poor and needy in Odisha for many years and they have now joined hands with the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham and Sai Foundation and started Sri Balaji Education Medical College, Hospital & Research Institute in Tirupati with the vision of providing better health care facilities to the poor and the middle class people. The governor said that Vigyanbharati Charitable Trust and Sai Foundation have done commendable work during the Covid-19 pandemic in Odisha and won the appreciation from all.

He said the Covid-19 pandemic has created chaotic situation in the entire world and posed an indomitable challenge to the mankind. He appreciated the tireless efforts of medical fraternity for their services to protect people from the dreaded virus. He said that the coronavirus still poses a threat and advised people to remain guarded and take all necessary precautions.

Srikalahasti MLA B Madhusudan Reddy, Mukesh Kumar Meena, secretary to the governor and others participated in the programme.
