Public should understand Chandrababu Naidu's character before voting:YS Jagan

Santhanuthalapadu: The people should understand the lies, betrayal, injustice and conspiracy habits of Chandrababu Naidu before voting and should not fall prey to his graphics based gimmicks, advised the YSR Congress Party president YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He sought support for his MLA candidate TJR Sudhakar Babu and MP candidate Nandigam Suresh by participating in a road show in Santhanuthalapadu village on Friday.

Speaking at the roadshow, Jaganmohan Reddy responded on the local issues and said that the Ramateertham and Gundlakamma projects were completed in the term of YS Rajasekhar Reddy, but the Chandrababu government failed to release Nagarjuna Sagar water to Ramateertham and dig field channels from Gundlakamma to give drinking and irrigation water to lakhs of people and farmers depending on them.

He said that the tobacco farmers requires a minimum price of Rs 220 per kg, but are receiving around Rs165 only. While they are demanding the government to announce a package of Rs 10 lakhs per barn to stop cultivating tobacco, the government do not respond. For an increase of minimum price per kg and ex gratia to the farmers committed suicide due to the burden of loans, the government does not respond unless the YSRCP takes initiative and protests for the farmers.

In the last five years of TDP rule, Jagan said that the red gram farmers are receiving only Rs 4000 instead of Rs 5670 minimum support price, while the chickpea farmer is receiving only Rs 3500 instead of Rs 4620 MSP. He compared the present rate of Rs 2000 to 2400 of subabul price with the Rajasekhara Reddy time price of Rs 4440 and assured better prices in the YSRCP government soon. He said that the loan burden of the farmers in the state has risen from Rs 87612 crore from Rs 1.50 lakh crores after TDP formed the government.

Jaganmohan Reddy said that the TDP government has damaged the granite industry by increasing the royalty from Rs 1980 to Rs 5200 for large stone and Rs 660 to Rs 1755 for the small stone and electricity charge from Rs 3.70 to Rs 8.70 per unit. He said that about 500 to 600 polishing units in the district from the total 1100 units were closed down as they couldn't bear the burden of royalty and power charges. He alleged that the local youth are losing jobs while the government boasts of inviting companies who are said to be investing thousands of crores of rupees and providing lakhs of jobs.

He said that the Chandrababu Naidu has announced Rs 2000 as unemployment allowance but were indebted to the youth for Rs 1.20 lakh crores, by not implementing it since the beginning. He alleged that the chief minister has protected the accused in the call money racket and MLA manhandled a woman MRO. He alleged that the government school system is damaged and 6000 schools are closed to make a profit for minister P Narayana.

The YSRCP president said that the TDP president made about 650 promises but failed in fulfilling them. He said that Chandrababu Naidu promised to establish a price stabilization fund with Rs 5000 crore, but managed to stabilize the career of his son Lokes with lakhs of crores investment from others. He listed the Chandrababu Naidu stopped the zero interest loan scheme and damaged the 108 ambulance services, free medical treatment, the welfare of SC, STs by grabbing their lands, while increasing the charges and taxes, number of wine shops and bars and loan burden of people. He alleged that the chief minister grabbed the lands of Amareswara Swamy temple in the name of capital at Amaravati, and doing real estate business by showing graphics.

Jaganmohan Reddy asked the public to be varied in believing Chandrababu Naidu and his promises. He explained the Navaratnalu of his promises to the public and asked the people attending the meeting to go to their places and inform their brothers and sisters, farmers and old aged people at their places that Jaganmohan Reddy will form the government in 20days to provide free education to children, waive the DWCRA loans in four installments, give Rs 75000 in four installments to women between age of 45 years and 60 years under 'YSR Cheyutha' program, Rs 12500 for the farmers under 'Raitu Bharosa' program as income support for agriculture and increase old-age pensions from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000 immediately after forming the government.
