Rajamahendravaram: Adikavi Nannaya University (AKNU) team is representing in South India Kabaddi competition scheduled to be held at the Mangalore University in Karnataka from December 11 to 14. The students were selected from all its affiliated colleges in the twin Godavari districts.

Sepaking to the media here on Sunday, AKNU vice-chancellor Prof P Suresh Varma said that the students of the university are proving their mettle in national level sports competitions. The University is encouraging sports and producing many players in various categories, he added. He wished the Kabaddi team to return with flying colours.

Registrar Prof S Teki, Sports Board Director Dr K Subba Rao, organising committee chairman Dr K Ramaneswari and others were present on the occasion.
