Rajamahendravaram: NRIs play active role in election campaign of various parties

Rajamahendravaram : NRI sare playing an active role in the 2024 general election campaign.
Various parties are saying that for two months, the NRIs have taken leave from their work activities and have come to their native State and are participating in election campaign.
Most of them are from Dubai, the USA, UK, Australia and Germany. Hundreds of NRIs arrived in Godavari districts and they are supporters of different parties and maintain close association with the top leaders of the parties.
TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu said in a programme that about 3,000 NRIs from different countries are conducting election campaign on behalf of the TDP.
They are campaigning for the success of the TDP by meeting their relatives and friends in the villages and various social service organisations they are familiar with. They are coordinating with the candidates who are contesting in different constituencies and they are meeting the groups that can be influenced in the respective areas.
The NRI wing is also active on behalf of YSRCP, the ruling party in the State. Party’s NRIs met former minister and YSRCP leader Mudragada Padmanabham in Kirlampudi on Friday.
They discussed the political developments in the State. They congratulated Mudragada for joining the YSRCP which has been striving for the welfare and development of the State.
They explained that they are making people aware by visiting their respective villages, especially informing the villagers about the false propaganda in the name of the Land Titling Act.
NRIs from national parties like Congress and BJP are also participating in election activities in large numbers. Indian Overseas Congress (Congress NRI Section) secretary Dr Aarti Krishna, Indian Overseas Congress working president Pradeep Samala, other representatives Rajeshwar Reddy Gangasani, Arjun, Subhash, Asra etc campaigned in Rajahmundry in support of Congress MP candidate Gidugu Rudra Raju.
On this occasion, she spoke to The Hans India. She said that more than 4,000 NRIs are engaged in election campaign in support of the Congress party in various States across the country. She said that they are mainly describing to people about AICC leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo and Bharat Nyay Yatras.
She said that the NRIs are working hard to promote the ideology of Congress which is committed to national integrity and the Congress party's achievements like the Green Revolution, White Revolution, Space Research, RTI Act, Food Security Bill, Nuclear Power, and Right to Education.
NRIs from AP who are supporters of Pawan Kalyan are campaigning on behalf of Jana Sena Party. Most of the expatriate Andhras are using social media as a campaign tool.
Campaigning of NRIs for various parties is going on in a big way mainly through Facebook, WhatsApp groups, and Instagram. NRIs and Telugu communities in various countries are campaigning extensively in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and BJP.
