Rajamahendravaram: Lakhs of people in the city participated in Janata Curfew on their own as per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to reduce the effect of Coronavirus. People faced many problems from morning for not getting milk as milk vans not delivered milk at various places.

All the roads were seen empty and in many places and the police questioned the people moving here and there. The mobile tiffin centres and hotels also closed along with rythu bazaars. Kotipalli bus station, Gokavaram bus station and central bus station also seen empty and about 12,000 autos also stopped.

In many apartments, the flat owners confined to indoors and in some apartments the lifts also stopped posing problems to the flat owners and tenants. Rythu bazarrs, chicken, meat and fish markets shuttered.

Sunday's position in the city remembered real curfew but many people expressed happiness for participating in Janata Curfew. The railway stations in the city also wore a deserted look.
