Ongole: A roundtable organised by Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi JAC on Sunday resolved that the agitation will continue irrespective of political influence until the government announces that Amaravati is the only capital of Andhra Pradesh.

The JAC convener A Sivareddy presided over the roundtable 'Save Amaravati- Save Andhra Pradesh' and said that the Amaravati Parirakshana Samithi has continuing the agitation for the last one year with a single agenda, to pursue the government to declare the State capital at Amaravati.

He explained that the JAC does not belong to a region, group, religion, or political party and thanked the people who participated in the agitation programmes for the last 390 days. He said that they are trying to convey the importance of Amaravati being the capital of the State to the public in various regions through their programmes and reiterated to continue the same in the future with partnership from all sections of the public.

He thanked the leaders from various parties for keeping aside their ideological differences but coming together to support Amaravati.

The JAC leaders Gadde Tirupati Rao, Sasi, APCC vice-president S Prakash, CPM east Prakasam secretary P Anjaneyulu, CPI district secretary ML Narayana, MLA Chandrasekhar, Telugu Mahila leader A Venkataratnam, Congress Ongole president D Nagalakshmi, and others also participated in the meeting.
