District Tribal Welfare Department is inviting applications to sanction scholarships under 'YSR Vidyajyothi Scheme' for the academic year 2019-20 from the students studying 5th to 8th class in the municipal
Guntur: District Tribal Welfare Department is inviting applications to sanction scholarships under 'YSR Vidyajyothi Scheme' for the academic year 2019-20 from the students studying 5th to 8th class in the municipal, aided and government schools, and 9th and 10th class students studying in the KBGV, Gurukulas and government residential schools.
In a statement, District Tribal Welfare Department officer K Vishnu Vardhana Rao informed that the students studying in 5th to 8th class in the day scholars' schools that they could apply for scholarships. He said for girl students, the State government will sanction Rs 1500 and for boys Rs1000.
He said 9th and 10 students residing in the hostels will get Rs 4500 per annum. Similarly, for day scholars Rs 2,250 scholarship will be paid. Vishnu Vardhana Rao urged the students to upload their application in Jananabhumi.ap.gov.in. and submit hard copy in the district tribal welfare office in Guntur city. He urged the eligible students to avail the facility provided by the government.
