Kakinada: Convener of the two Telugu states' Settibalija Mahanadu Kudipudi Suryanarayana demanded that the Andhra Pradesh government should set up a Corporation for Settibalijas with an allocation of Rs 2,000 crore.

Addressing the Settibalija Association General Body meeting held at the Settibalilja Bhavan here on Sunday, Suryanarayana said that Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy promised to set up Settibalija Cooperation during the elections.

The Mahanadu State president Pilil Subrahmanyam said that Settibalijas were still illiterates and they were unable to educate their children due to acute poverty. He said that the Chief Minister should set up the corporation during this academic year for education of their children.

The Mahanadu district president Geddada Venkateswara Rao, Gubbala Tulasi Kumar, Guthula Ramana, Narayana Rao, Jayaprakash and others were present.
