Dendulur (West Godavari): Y S Sharmila, sister of the YSRCP president Jaganmohan Reddy, has assured the people living in Kolleru area, that resurvey would be conducted in Kolleru region if the YSRCP is voted to power and their long-pending problems would be solved. She met the fishermen of Kolleru as part of the Bus Yatra on Wednesday and interacted with them. The fishermen have narrated their problems to Sharmila. Responding to their problems, she said the YSRCP would conduct resurvey in Kolleru region if the party is voted to power.

She alleged that Andhra Pradesh did not get Special Category Status due to the U-turn policies of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and caused severe loss to the people of state.

She said Jaganmohan Reddy has been vigorously fighting to get Special Category Status to the State and he will continue the fight till the State gets its.

She called upon the Dendulur constituency people not to get panicked with the attacks and assaults of TDP leader and the sitting MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar in the Assembly elections.

The locals of Dendulur have narrated the atrocities and offences committed by TDP MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar, she said and mentioned about the incident where woman Tahsildar Vanajakshi was physically assaulted by Prabhakar when she was on official visit to verify the illegal sand mining in the constituency. Responding to the complaints, Sharmila said Chintamaneni was creating panic in the constituency and announced that Jaganmohan Reddy would teach a lesson if the YSRCP comes to power in the elections.

She questioned why Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave ticket to Prabhakar who is facing 34 cases. Stating the vote is a powerful weapon, she appealed to voters to use it to defeat the controversial MLA. She came down heavily on Chandrababu Naidu for choosing such of kind of leader for the constituency.
