Solve problems of Dalits, demands KVPS in Vijayawada
The leaders of Kula Vivakshata Porata Sangam (KVPS) demanded that the government solve the problems of Dalits in the state.
Vijayawada: The leaders of Kula Vivakshata Porata Sangam (KVPS) demanded that the government solve the problems of Dalits in the state. In this regard they submitted a memorandum to the Social Welfare department principle secretary Ravichandra here on Friday.
Speaking to the media, KVPS state general secretary A Malyadri demanded cancelation of GO 381and solve social problems and others issues faced by the Dalits in the state. The dalits were facing various problems due to lack of proper infrastructure and small and congested houses.
He said that from 2015 to 2019 funds were sanctioned for the construction of 691 community halls and 79 auditoriums. The present government issued the GO 381 as the above mentioned community halls and auditoriums' construction was not started.
He said that pension should be given to Dappu Kalakarulu as given to other artistes and minimise the age limit to 45 years. He also demanded that the government release salaries to Dalit employees working in Dr BR Ambedkar Study Circle.
