States must take the responsibility of migrant workers: Pawan Kalyan

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan urged the states to take up the responsibility of bringing migrant workers back home. A statement was issued on Sunday in the name of Jana Sena party. Pawan said amid lockdown, it is painful for migrants to die on their way home; it is unfortunate to witness accidents in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.

"State governments must take responsibility for such incidents. Migrant workers should be dealt with humanitarian perspective and it is not right to act as if they were not our citizens, " Pawan said. Pawan Kalyan asserted that the central government has set up Shramik trains while the state governments must coordinate and move them to safe havens to relocate working families; the state government should use its public transport buses to take migrant workers and leave them at their respective villages instead of just leaving them at borders.
